It’s estimated that more than 15 million American’s suffer from food allergies. There is no cure for food allergies but with a strict diet and avoidance it’s possible to enjoy the happiest place on earth, Walt Disney World Parks and Resort.  Many restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort offer culinary options for Guests with food allergies or dietary requirements.  How do they make this possible?

Special Dietary Requests


Delicious Alternatives
Chefs can often substitute different ingredients and offer other food options so that dining for those with dietary requirements can still be a delectable affair.
Many Walt Disney World restaurants can accommodate the following common food allergies:

  •  Gluten or wheat 
  •  Lactose or dairy 
  •   Peanuts and tree nuts 
  •   Shellfish
  • Soy
  • Fish
  •  Eggs
  • Corn

Most restaurants offer no-sugar-added, low-fat, low-sodium and vegetarian options. Advance arrangements are not necessary for guest s with lifestyle dietary requests. Gusts can discuss any dietary requests with their server upon arrival. 

Metabolic Disorders and Multiple Allergies
Guest with requests associated with the listed below should contact Walt Disney World Resort at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days prior to arrival and after booking all dining arrangements for their entire visit:

  • Allergy or intolerance not listed above under common food allergies
  •  Phenylketonuria (PKU)
  • Metabolic disorders
  • A single guest with multiple allergies/intolerances or multiple guests with allergies/intolerance within the same party

Disney World Restaurants will do their best to accommodate guest dietary requirements but cannot guarantee that they will be able to meet all requests.

Select restaurants throughout the theme parks and Resorts hotels will try to accommodate your dietary requirements.

Table-Service Locations
Most table-service restaurants accepting reservations are able to provide allergy-friendly meal options. Guests should indicate any food allergies when making dining reservations and upon arrival at a dining location. 

Quick-Service Locations
Select quick-service restaurants offer menu items or products that may accommodate certain food allergies.

Buffets
Guests should ask to speak with a chef or manager upon arrival to discuses food allergies or intolerances. Chefs are available to walk Guests through the buffet and indicate what can be eaten based on specific allergies or intolerances. Please note that Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts  cannot guarantee we will be able to meet all dietary requests.

Victoria & Albert’s
Guests with dietary restrictions choosing to dine at Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa should call (407) WDW-DVNA or (407) 939-3862. As part of the impeccable personalized service of Victoria & Albert’s, the restaurant may be able to customize a unique menu of the finest—yet allergy-free—cuisine imaginable.

Requesting a Special Meal

The sooner you let Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts know about your dietary restrictions, the quicker they can provide you with information about alternate dining options.

Online Reservations
Please indicate all food allergies when reserving a table online.

Phone Reservations
Please inform a Cast Member of your dietary requirements when making a dining reservation over the phone. To make a reservation, call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call.

At the Restaurant
Inform the server, chef, or manager on duty of any dietary restrictions when arriving at the restaurant.
Please note that Walt Disney Parks and Resorts will use reasonable efforts to prevent the introduction of the allergen of concern into the food through close attention during our sourcing, preparation and handling processes. However, it is ultimately up to the Guest to use his or her individual discretion to make an informed choice regarding whether to order any particular items. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts cannot guarantee that allergens may not have been introduced during another stage of the food chain process or, even inadvertently, during preparation. We do not have separate kitchens to prepare allergen-free items or separate dining areas for Guests with allergies or intolerance.
